We had an extra day so we decided to take a train over to Cinque Terre. These are little cliff villages that are super old and traditional. We initially ended up in the wrong village, but that was very OK, cause each was beautiful. The view of the sea was beautiful, the view of village from was beautiful, the view up to the mountains was beautiful – everything was beautiful. And it was fun climbing around through the streets trying to find our way to the overlooks and then trying to find a way (any way) back down. Back down was the hard part! We were quite exhausted and after a little bit of a scare between delayed trains and traffic, we made our flight back. Good bye Italy! You were beautiful, but I’d rather not drive in you again! 🙂
